The prayerbook or Siddur, is the most widely used book in Jewish life. This class will teach how to translate and understand Hebrew prayers and is designed for students who can read the Hebrew words but do not know what they mean. Participants need to be able to pronounce the Hebrew letters and vowels. We will use prayers presented phrase by phrase to build a vocabulary and to enable a February 8 and 22, March 14 and 28, April 11 and 25 and May 9. Cost is $54 per person plus the cost of textbook, “Prayerbook Hebrew The Easy Way” 3rd edition, by Joseph Anderson, Linda Motzkin, Jonathan Rubenstein and Laurence Wiseman.
