Membership

Temple Solel is the congregation where belonging is more than a membership list. By permeating all its activities with the spirit of Reform Judaism, Solel gives congregants the opportunity to worship, gather, learn and build their connections with God in an atmosphere that is embracing, supportive and engaging. Solel, the Pathfinder Congregation, supports its members in times of spiritual need, encourages and shares their celebrations and religious observance, and builds ties to the greater community through social action and acts of compassion. Whatever their background, Solel welcomes all worshipers to join its family.

How can I become involved?
An indication of your interest will get you involved! When you complete the Temple membership application, you will notice there is a section that inquires about your areas of interest. We encourage all members of the congregation to take an active part in Temple life.

How are dues structured?
In addition to our standard dues, which begin with Sustaining membership, we offer reduced dues for our younger members. Individuals or families who cannot meet our fees due to financial difficulties will find a sympathetic ear and the ability to make special arrangements.

Temple Solel never turns anyone away due to an inability to pay.

Shomrim
Shomrim is our honorary dues program. The word means keepers, and offers an opportunity for those members with the means to provide financial support above the Sustaining level to do so. These funds allow us to serve those with limited resources, and continue quality programming and education at our Temple. As our Shomrim honor the tradition of tzedakah, we honor our Shomrim with special recognition during the course of the year.

The qualities for which Solel is most frequently commended are our warmth and welcoming nature. Give us the opportunity to extend these qualities to you, by contacting us for more information about how you can become a member of the Solel family. We are eager to hear from you. You may reach us by phone at 480.991.7414, or by contacting our Executive Director, David Lamden, at dlamden@templesolel.org.
